ABOUT

GFF Artwork - Marlowe_raw.png

Guelph Fringe Festival is a performing arts festival that celebrates creativity, diversity, and inclusivity. Our festival is made possible through the support of our sponsors, volunteers, and the community. We showcase a variety of shows from local and international artists, providing a platform for emerging talent and established performers alike. Join us as we explore the boundaries of art and elevate voices that are often marginalized.
We believe that art has the power to inspire, challenge, and unite us all.

Guelph is a proud member of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals (CAFF). The mission of CAFF
is to unite, support, empower and strengthen member festivals in order to cultivate and foster independent artistic exploration for artists and audiences across North America.

The Guelph Fringe Festival will run August 7-10, 2025. A total of 15 individual companies will perform at three venues over the course of the four-day festival, for a total of 45 performances in Downtown Guelph.

As a proud member of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals, we also support its five guiding principles:

  • Participants will be selected on a non-juried basis, through a first-come, first-served process, a lottery, or other method approved by the Association.

  • Artists will receive 100% of the tickets and pass price, as agreed upon between the artists and festivals (less any applicable government taxes). Festivals may add a surcharge to tickets and passes. Tickets to the Guelph Fringe Festival are $12 that goes directly to the artist with a $3 festival fee to help with the costs of running the event.

  • The Guelph Fringe Festival producers have no control over the artistic content of each performance. The artistic freedom of the participants is unrestrained.

  • Festivals must provide an easily accessible opportunity for all audiences and all artists to participate in Fringe Festivals.

  • Festivals will promote and model inclusivity, diversity and multiculturalism, and will endeavour to incorporate them into all aspects of our organizations including our boards, staff, and volunteers.

The only constraints on material or content are the consideration of legality and the health and safety of all those involved, including artists, staff, volunteers and audiences. The Guelph Fringe Festival reserves the right to enforce necessary safety measures.
