In the dark of a summer night, a warm flicker and then another and another. The night briefly fills with the luminescence of fireflies. Just like the elusive spark of the firefly, childhood is brief and magical. Fireflies on the Fringe is a performing arts festival for young audiences where professional and emerging artists bring wonder and magic to the stage for our youngest theatre goers.

Fireflies on the Fringe, Guelph’s Festival of Performing Arts for Young Audiences, will take place during the Guelph Fringe Festival on Saturday August 10 and Sunday August 11. With full support from the CAFF, Fireflies on the Fringe aims to expand the reach of Fringe across age demographics, and is inspired by Fringe festivals across Canada and across the globe offering programming for young audiences as part of their Fringe programming.
