The Curse Of Girl Night

Love So Far Poster - 1200x675.PNG

What would you endure to follow your dreams? Two stand-up comedians, Lindsay and Renee, dream that one day their all-women stand-up show, “Girl Night”, will be a success. Little do they know… they’ve been cursed! Underwater financially and suffering constant mishaps, Lindsay and Renee fight to perform at Fringe - before their sworn enemy buys the show and cancels Girl Night forever! The Curse of Girl Night is a sketch show about friendship, failure, hope, and the nightmarish dream that is stand-up comedy.

Fever Dream Comedy is a comedy partnership between Lindsay Endersby and Renee Groux. Since 2023, they have proudly run Kitchener-Waterloo’s only all-woman showcase, “Girl Night” which tours all over Ontario, staging critically acclaimed acts and rising stars. They’re not really cursed (just unlucky!) Check out Renee’s stand-up special, “We’re Not Friends” on Youtube or all streaming platforms!

The Guelph Fringe Festival will be performed on the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation of the Anishinaabek Peoples. We recognize this gathering place where we create and perform theatre is home to many past, present, and future First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Our acknowledgement of the land is our declaration of our collective responsibility to this place and its peoples’ histories, rights, and presence. The Guelph Fringe team supports and adds our collective voice to the CALLS TO ACTION by the Truth and Reconciliation Committee on Indian Residential Schools (and other identified sites of trauma) with our commitment to never forget, to hold governments and colonial forces to account, and to seek accountability and healing for injustice.
